The beginning of the year has been both incredibly exciting with the shooting of the new BUCKLE 2010 campaign, which surprise, surprise saw me keeping my clothes on for a change – although I have talked to Mel the Brand Manager about somehow stripping off mid-year – but also very sad with the passing of my little princess Jessica.
At thirteen for a little dog she had a wonderfully long and happy life and then one night whilst watching the Winter Olympics with my Mumma she took one last big breath and went to sleep. The night she died I was onstage in Oslo hosting Mr Gay World so my family kept it all from me until I returned, I am sad I wasn’t here to say goodbye.
Oslo and Mr Gay World certainly was an amazing adventure. I got to meet some of the bravest and most gorgeous men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting (here I am ready for the swimwear section with Pete the serious hunk “Mr Thailand”) from all around the world. I also got to experience minus 10 degree temperatures and eat a lot of cold fish. I am heading off to Madrid in July to judge Mr Gay Spain and then Switzerland in August to judge Mr Gay Europe. I neither speak Spanish, French or German; this should be interesting!
“New Idea TV” and “10 Days” are on breaks until later in the year so I am just doing a little bit of television with The Morning Show on Channel Seven at the moment. Kylie and Larry are so much fun to work with and Paula my producer and I have some great ideas for this year. Live TV is actually a bigger buzz than studio stuff because if you stuff up (like I do at times – calling Larry – Jerry) there is no “cut, lets do that again” second chance) I post my segments on my facebook page – invite me and become my “friend” as I do daily blog updates on there.
Keep in touch, as I love hearing from you all!
